The Local Area
Old Church House is located in Pittenweem (“Place of the Caves” in Gaelic). Pittenweem is a small coastal fishing village; the only village in East Neuk with a working harbour.
It is approximately 1hr by car from Edinburgh, and 30 mins from Kirkcaldy train station.
There are many walks and picturesque views to see in the area.
There are numerous local towns and attractions including St Andrews and the fishing villages forming the East Neuk of Fife. There are several local museums including Scotland’s Secret Bunker, Crail Heritage Museum, the Scottish Fisheries Museum and several nearby castles.
Many of the world’s great golf courses are nearby, including The Old Course at St Andrews and Kings Barns.
